Saravanan, if you and your party is against Sanskrit why not launch a project to remove thousands of Sanskrit words from Tamil language. By the by our forefathers, including the great poets Kambar and Chekkiyalar did not oppose Sanskrit and in fact they are proficient in both the languages.

@टिरंजननकले —-you have elaborated the status of mother tongues. I was mainly pointing out that in our eagerness to master the language of pelf we have almost forgotten our mother tongue. Ok, let us not learn Hindi but why neglect one’s own mother tongue. We speak English , write English, live English and nothing but English. All because English alone matters locally, nationally and internationally. But for the government schools who have mother tongue as medium of instruction our regional languages would have become 🦤. CMs like Y S R Reddy are trying to undo this by introducing English medium.
