Ok SG. You failed however to mention, even briefly, the engine that’s responsible for the turnaround in the African countries. Is it reforms, judicious welfarism, education or proper utilisation of Africa’s huge natural resources.

What we need are non corrupt (because corruption shaves off a good part of the GDP, making a few individuals filthy rich) leaders with a vision to improve the living conditions of our people. I will confine myself to one example. Kamaraj, a person with minimal school education, laid the foundation of the one of the seminal education reforms in the country. A simple thought of making children not drop out of school, he introduced the midday meal scheme to which the babus (educated idiots) opposed it on the excuse of financial constraints. He also encouraged PP model of opening new schools. This is why today TN is now at the forefront of economic and social indicators.
