Brahmins are the target because they don’t matter electorally except in UP perhaps. OBCs are the neo Brahmins but in huge majority and no party dare talk against them. Everything is dictated by electoral politics. The recent atrocity in a Dalit dominated village in TN where the drinking water tank was polluted (probably by upper caste OBCs) and the perpetrators are yet to be booked. This is a telling instance of OBC appeasement politics.
