8:00—look how people have been mesmerised by Modi magic, not taking the problem of unemployment seriously and even justifying it.

@thebuddhasmiles —- yes, yes. A lot and quite a lot has to be done but the Q is who has done better without high level scams.
4
@thebuddhasmiles —ok, but listen to the last words. Voters have faith in Modi-Yogi and are prepared to forgive their shortcomings like they did in the case of demonetisation.

@BruceWayne-qe7bs —absolutely.

@Shireen — theoretically sounds great. Reforms has become a bad word after the repeal of new Farm Laws. You know what happened to Modi’s attempt to amend Land Acquisition Act. So with labour reforms. We should first carry out, as you said, the long pending electoral reforms which will ultimately pave the way for good and decriminalised governance. Next should be the Police Reforms. There is no dearth of ideas to improve our polity but India is waiting for a visionary to take us on a totally new path. Thanks for exchanging a few thought provoking ideas.

@Shireen — that’s a very big statement on bureaucracy.

@Shireen — wow! I understand you are extremely qualified to make that statement. But why blame the IAS babus alone who after all act at the behest of netas. My cousin too is an ex IAS who tried to make a difference by being honest and upright in his work. Anyhow, you have raised an important and big issue. But who will bell the cat?

@Shireen —- the fact however is that Modi, whatever his methods may be, is keen on reforms. The only person after PVN. Nehru was non corrupt, so the ruling Congress till the infamous Bofors. How did that help India economically and socially? You may revert to your theory of Nehru being half Commie and the Congress pursuing a ‘socialistic pattern of society’. So a major course correction is needed or is the tree itself is so rotten that it has to be uprooted. I am sorry I am too little a fellow to deliberate on these weighty issues.
