India was indeed a balkanised nation, ruled by hundreds of independent kings and Samsathans perpetually at war with each other, before and even during Mughal invasion. The idea of India was born under the British and it has worked well, in spite of its myriad problems, for over seventy years now. You theory that Pak is prosperous is ridiculous and not borne by facts, social and economic indicators. When the whole world is moving towards federalisation why rake up now the regressive idea of balkanisation.
