  2. This was a great trailer but it didn't even hint at the sad part of the story - what the apartment was used for! In the old days my mom would have called Fred MacMurray's character a louse! 'The Apartrment" won the Oscar for Best Picture in 1961. Jack Lemmon years later in an AFI interview said 'The Apartment' was not a comedy - he said it was a drama, "a serious film!"
