  1. Anything you want to keep long term should be rust proofed. I just bought a used f150 and i'm still going to undercoat that. It"s not just a 'yota issue. Most people don't do it, as they change cars before, or at the point where rust creeps up to the level where it starts to cost you through rusted brake lines, rusted clamps, frame, suspension, etc.... I'll just suggest an oil or wax based undercoat... The rubber ones are terrible, many examples out there of how damaging they can be, even from new.
