Agreed... thin oil is NOT as bad as it seems. In old cars, (even going waaaaay back to the 1920's) oil was primarily a lubricant and it's partial coolant properties were a side benefit that didn't matter, the older you go the less importance cooling was because metals were more tolerant and engines didn't make much power... As cars got newer they started to make more power and oil flow was increasingly needed a coolant, even commuter cars got oil coolers (once a high performance thing)- then oil had to travel to more places, while moving quick enough to do hydraulic things (variable valve timing, variable lift, turbocharger cooling and lubrication) and flowing oil is more important. It may flow like water, but it's supposed to, and it's supposed to be designed around that. If you are even doubting the oil in the least, just change it more often.... nothing bad will come from that... oil wear and buildup is way worse on these new engines... If there's any motto it's "keep it flowing" not more pressure.
