  1. Humanist The fact that rulers exist is no argument for them. There have always been rapists and always will be. What does that prove? Rules theoretically exist for the smooth running of society, but in actuality many, many, MANY of them exist because other people want to control you. For instance, in Florida, unmarried women who parachute on a Sunday could be jailed. Still want to argue about why rules exist?

  3. I think I must agree with Humanist here Daniel. It's hard to see how you can ever live according to Voluntarism as long as you live in a society, require food, and somewhere to live. I live a very non-conformist life and probably answer to far less people than you do unless you live out in the woods, but there are still areas where my life intersects with society, and even ratty little douchebag functionaries can have a massive impact over my personal freedom and happiness. A bitter cop, a school caretaker with napoleon complex, a pedantic employee of the local water company, a shithead at an internet company, to name just a few of the scum currently pissing on my personal independence.
