  1. Yeah, cause to hell with the environment. Let's all act like fossil fuels are an infinite resource, and the environment is just there to be polluted till we all fall gasping as runaway greenhouse effect kills the last of our ozone. All that matters is your stupid free market - sacrosanct even at the expense of our lives. The fact that energy efficient light bulbs are orders of magnitudes more efficient and less expensive (in spite of the higher upfront cost) is just an inconvenience in your narrative of consumer rip offs huh?

  2. Nonsense are CFLs "extremely dangerous and risky" - that's blatant scaremongering. Incandescent bulbs have been illegal in Europe since 2009, and all most people use are CFL bulbs, which are covered by the normal safety regulations. We're not burning to death. We're not choking to death, or getting electrocuted. They're not exploding or blinding us. We are paying much less for our electric. We are enjoying environmentally friendly lighting. I was resistant at first, but now I can't imagine anything else. A 20 watt CFL bulb costs £1, whereas an incandescent 100 watt cost between 50 and 75p. The CFL results in less than a quarter the CO2 and lasts much longer.

  3. Absolutely. Given that their players are expensive properties, of course they don't want them damaged. But the truth doesn't fit with his dishonest narrative of oppressive big government.
