If you can destroy your body and your spirit working for an employer who exploits you and pays you shitty unlivable wages, you sure as hell can work for yourself doing something pleasurable. It's only pathetic christian moralising that even makes this an issue. All other aspects of this are just background noise.

  2.  @aaronchapin9331  The patriarchy predates Christianity, but n the modern world, it finds its most vocal expression among Christians, or those who inadvertently derive their "morality" from Christianity. In the Muslim world I would guess, there's not even a conversation.
