@jjdogbutte I was not using the article to prove my case, merely that there is disagreement at the highest levels. The peope here have offered compelling alternate explanations and I lack the expertise to agree or disagree with one interpretation over another.

@jjdogbutte I went away and researched what people had said, and followed their links. Their version seeemed at least as compelling as what I thought I knew.

@jjdogbutte There's a wealth of legal opinion to support the position that a well regulated militia means "not unregulated citizens."
