  1. The fuck does competition work. Drug prices are not high because competition works. What ALWAYS happens is one company gets bigger and bigger and crushes all rival companies. There are cases where profit should NOT be the primary motive, and this is one of them. I can see strong arguments on both sides, but competition is NOT a strong argument.
