Why are there not enforcable terms laying down the obligations of the beneficiary in these damned deals - number of jobs, minimum time the company will remain, minimum financial benefit to the state or community, etc? This just seems like abysmally incompetent deal making. If you're going to force people out of their homes "for the greater good", it had better be a guaranteed good, and drastically greater than the damage to the homeowners.

@KevinSmith-qi5yn A forced purchase is a forced purchase is a forced purchase no matter how much you compensate someone. A rape doesn't scease to be rape just because you throw a few hiuundred dollars at the victim afterwards. As for enforcable terms, okay, accepted. So why aren't they being enforced?

@ryanslings6234 Unfortunately facts don't care about feelings. That said "I'm not, you are" is a tactic being used very effectively by the right against a left that refuses to fight back.
