Rising shipping costs? They slashed shipping costs by using these obscenely large ships, so if costs have risen at all, they're still way below where they should have been. These ships are helping China to undermine our economies. If they all sank, it would be a general positive.

@scythal I'd gladly pay more to protect British industry, prevent Asian worker exploitation, and have products that did not have a built in obsolence of 3 years.

@scythal Absolutely. I've been complaining for two or three decades that electronics have been turned into commodities rather than well designed items constructed to last. It's bad for the environment, bad for you, bad all round.
