  2. I think it all depends how you interpret these. If one cannot say anything about the attributes of a race without it being considered racist, that's pretty stupid. There ARE cultural differences in child rearing, and frankly, western parents ARE more self absorbed than some cultures. And why SHOULDN'T someone lead an organisation for London's black children? There are Jewish organisations, Muslim organisations, female only organisations. If London's black children face particular disadvantages due to poverty, it seems perfectly reasonable that somebody might try to redress that balance. I could find no reference to her taxi expenses so without context or a time frame I'm not going to comment except to agree with you that ALL MPs appear to use their expense accounts generously.

I agree with your assessment of the Muslim situation, and I feel most saddened for any reasonable person living in a Muslim nation, but it's high time that Europe recognises the cancer that this religion represents. Germany, France and Belgium have woken up with a bang, and I suspect Sweden will follow suit soon enough. With the Muslim population of Britain doubling to 3 million in just 10 years, and the ultralib PC politicians selling us in the interests of whatever they gain from this, I am not hopeful about the future. As for Dianne Abbott, I don't know what's in her heart, and I agree that she needs to be much more careful about her use of language if the reports are accurate. You say that the Labour Party are anti British. I'm not sure that I agree with that, but let's say that you ARE correct, what is their motivation for that?

  4. She said "White people love playing divide and rule". It was an overgeneralisation but is demonstrably true. I would hardly call it racist though.

  6. What was the context for that remark? Did she mean the current British or historically? If the latter why would it apply to her? Even if she meant modern Brits (and let's be honest, you only have to read the comments here to see that racism is THRIVING in Britain), she clearly didn't mean ALL Brits.

  7. I suspect that she was speaking figuratively not literally, but let's be honest, Britain has been institutionally racist within living memory. Of course her statement was a hyperbolic overgeneralisation, but the core of it, that Britain was a deeply racist society is completely true, and I'm afraid Brexit allowed the worst racist scum to rise back to the surface. That and the C4 news comments section - and that was absolutely NOT a shot across YOUR bows.

  8. I am vehemently opposed to Islam, so I'm not sure why you brought that into the conversation. Unfortunately, since youtube messed up its conversation threading, it makes it hard to see who is replying to which comments. I don't support Dianne Abbot, but I have found her to be an articulate woman. It seems, if the comments attributed to her above are true, that she is lacking in circumspection, paints with an overly broad brush, and uses hyperbolic language on the subject of race. Whether she is an actual racist is an issue I cannot answer. If she were, that would change my opinion of her significantly.
