But the fact is, religious leaders are given unmerited trust and control over children, and they abuse that trust time after time. But go on, tell me how China forces its leaders to give up sex, then leaves them alone in charge of children. Muppet.

@PGR7 You really need to learn to read; I quite specifically said "religion" - that covers protestants and Anglicans. And WTF do the abuses by OTHER people have to do with anything? I was not attempting to make a total summary of the entrety of global history or society. If your mother gets murdered by an organised gang of police, does it make that crime any less horrific if I then point out that women were also murdered by the army in Myanmar? Honestly, there aren't enough crayons for me to explain it more simply to you. Perhaps when you learn how basic logic works, you can try having a grown up conversation again you dolt.

@beewithab6122 China does not commit cultural genocide BECAUSE of its atheism. The belief system does not facillitate genocide, nor is genocide a part of non-belief in God (in fact, wasn't it God who demanded the brutal annihilation of the Canaanites, drowned the ntire planet, and wiped out Sodom and Gommorah?). However, the structures of authority, sanctity and abstinence directly creates these kind of abuses. The irony of you calling other people "dumbo" when you are clearly a moron, is not lost to me, but take the L and move on before you humiliate yourself more. Your pastor has not prepared you well for this debate.
