Comments by "Mat Broomfield" (@matbroomfield) on "Trump’s plan to expand Alaskan oil and gas drilling is blocked by President Biden - BBC News" video.
"They've promised to keep it safe" Just like they haven't on a single pipeline in existence.

Donald Trump is your President. You wouldn't know a fact if it drove an 18 wheeler and ran you down on the freeway.

@AnnieWarbux Educated - Trumptards? I think they're a lost cause. Turn them into soylent green.
4
@joermnyc Also, jobs that help kill the planet are hardly jobs that should be saved.

@Maximustard "construction jobs are always temporary jobs " So cancelling the pipeline is only hastening the inevitable. Thank you for making the point so effectively.
2
@Maximustard Almost incredible short sightedness. If those people were soldiers killing innocent civilians, we would not even be having this discussion, but because the scale of fossil fuel harm is so great, and the harm is a little more disconnected, you argue for that over the planet. The idea that one man who sees the world in terms of its dollar value should be able to simply sell off the planet's future is incomprehensibly evil.

@Gone_Gaming0 Come back when you're adult.

@AnnieWarbux Yeah, 100%. Loser has been stalking me across youtube for a month or so now. I think he secretly loves me.

@missy6539 Don't be silly. The choice is not limit fossil fuels or go back to the 1800s. The reason that America is so slow in developing alternate energy is the stranglehold the oil industry has on congress. They actually managed to get solar PENALISED even while they received subsidies. There are plenty of affordable electric cars, and the milage is exactly as predictable as gas.
2
@AnnieWarbux Well said Annie.
2
@missy6539 So you're saying horses and buggies are not going back to the 1800s because people who still live like the 1800s still use them? Oh dear. And I suppose we're really stone age because some people still live in caves huh? And fuel changes? Tell you what, what don't you leave the science to people who understand it hmmm?
1
@missy6539 "If we had an alternative to gas and or electric why haven't the scientist created it " You have heard of solar, hydro, wind, wave, and nuclear power right?
1
@missy6539 There are many EXCELLENT reasons why the world has not entirely switched to alternative sources of power. In America, the most important is that the oil lobby pays hundreds of millions of dollars to corrupt politicians who then put their hands on the scales to make better sources more expensive than oil. For instance, solar power in California was overtaking oil, then the oil lobbyists bribed their politiicians, and solar power was levied a TARRIF, whilst oil was subsidised. That means YOU paid the oil companies twice to sell you oil. In Texas, Tesla was charged extra to do business, to protect gas cars. Electricity is not the problem - it's the backbone of the modern world. It's HOW THAT ELECTRIC IS GENERATED that is the issue. Countries in Europe, such as Germany, exist ENTIRELY on low carbon electric.

@HUNKMrDeath-lt7kq What on earth are you talking about?
1
@HUNKMrDeath-lt7kq Your comment about the poor eating each other is is ludicrous. I accept that wind farms have a horrific cost in terms of birds and bats (still only a minute fraction of the number killed by domestic cats, but I'd prefer no deaths). However, unlike oil, they do not lead to the extinction of all life on earth. And what about solar, biomass, wave power, hydro and nuclear? So how about not capitulating to the oil industry simply because they have deep pockets, and instead push the development of alternate sources entirely? As for the poor starving because of gas prices, America has the cheapest gas on the planet. Perhaps if the poor elected better politcians, you wouldn't be living on such a knife edge?

@HUNKMrDeath-lt7kq Three answers to every post, each of them rambling and silly. You need to learn to focus. But not with me. We're done.
