@grannystuna174 Not at all. Understanding the universe, furthers our knowledge of the future of mankind. Finding a ship that sunk a 100 years ago, and whose demise and construction are both thoroughly understood is simply a lot of wasted money. It doesn't even have the mystery or historical significance of the Titanic.

@grannystuna174 Not to be pointlessly contrarian, but finding a Yeti or Nessie would be almost as significant as meeting an alien. There's absolutely no way that's on the same scale as discovering a wreck. Even discovering the Titanic was not on that scale. Buuut, I can recognise your reasonable interest in this particular ship. What would most interest you about it? I share your fascination for history or I would not have clicked on this video, but honestly, I never much respected the arctic/antarctic explorers who risk and often threw away their lives for such little of value. If you really want to raise my interest, find some new aquatic prehistoric bones, or ancient caveman stuff. Did you see the recent discovery of those childrens' footprints in the mud from 16,000 years ago. So touching. They played and enjoyed life just like our children today. Now THAT'S evocative stuff!
