It's a logical leveraging of Facebook's ubiquity in society, but it feels as though they will have an unfair monopoly over rivals in the same space. Didn't Microsoft get broken up for this kind of one-stop-shop integration of Windows? For millions of people who find it hard to meet people this might be a useful service, but Facebook has proven definitively that it cannot be trusted with anyone's data.

If I were rival sites, I'd be advertising strongly that they had never been hacked and didn't sell your data. I'd emphasise the risk of interconnecting your entire digital world. I'd cater to more specific niche markets that Facebook will have to stay away from if it is to keep its wholesome family reputation. I'd point out that they never run psychological experiments on their users. Mostly, I'd just keep hammering on about what a subversive company Facebook is.
