  1. Who gives a damn. You might as well ask, "Will Britons ever care about Hockey or table tennis." both massive sports in India and China. The last thing the USA needs is the corruption of soccer to jump the pond as well. But yeah, American football is a ridiculously harmful sport. Analogous to the nation it comes from I guess.

  3. You misunderstand my point. it was not that unpopular sports are irrelevant, but that's it's silly to bemoan the fact that they are not popular elsewhere. I also love table tennis. I once beat a slightly drunk guy at the local youth club in a two hour epic, so not quite your pedigree but still ;-)
