  1. Unfortunately, you live on low islands, in a part of the world notorious for hurricanes. Such islands have been rising and falling since the Earth had water on it. If even that girl does not know if mangrove planting accomplishes anything whatsoever, what on earth is the point of expending all that energy and expense? The sad reality is, these nations comprise a minute fraction of the planet's population, and sending the BBC's "Gender and Identity Correspondent" to wax lyrical about female prime ministers will not get them heard any louder. If 350 million Americans and 1.4 billion Indians is not enough to make their host nation give a damn, what hope does a nation of 200,000 people have?
