@personanongrata1308 Please provide evidence of your claim that Gates wants to sell a patent on a 20:1 return. Also, that doesn't seem all that excessive a return on a speculative research. Even if true (and I doubt it is), that's not really not the same business model as windows. Nobody is compelled to buy a PC, most PCs come with a free copy of windows, if you don't like windows, you can use Linux or a Mac, and your PC doesn't kill you if you don't use windows.
