What total nonsense. You don't choose a friend if you want a take-no-prisoners interview, and why would they want that in the first? In any other situtaion, their relationship to her would be considered a conflict of interest.

@fabiennemitchell2371 This presenter is claiming that Oprah will conduct a hard hitting interviiew. Regardless of the broadcast forum, that is clearly undermined by their private relationship.

@fabiennemitchell2371 Wikipedia defined conflict of interest as "A situation in which a person or organization is involved in multiple interests, financial or otherwise, and serving one interest could involve working against another." In this case, the "other" is impartiality.
