@UNIVERSAL-UR A government's job is to protect the health and economic wellbeing of its citizens. Djokovich declined to get vaccinated, then deliberately lied circumventing the systems in place to maintain Australia's health. Not making exceptions for famous people is what we ALWAYS demand. This is NOT communism, that is government doing precisely what it is supposed to do.

@thomasnewton5919 I believe in lifetime bans for sport cheats - when you have tried once to avoid drug rules, you have proven that you will simply look for better ways to cheat. Same here. He has proven his TOTAL disregard for the safety of the Australian people, and demonstrated the dishonesty to cover up that risk he took on their behalf. Why would they EVER want to allow him to visit again?

@UNIVERSAL-UR I'm uncertain how you draw the line between possible government overreach and communism. If anything, I would think that was the definiition of fascism. However, given that the government acted within the rules of that democracy, and it is the POLITICIANS, not the courts that are answerable to the electorate, this is just government taking ultimate responsibility for the decisions that can affect the health of the entire nation.

@AlanWattResistance Anybody who declines to take the vaccine, then lies about their travel through infection hotspots to avoid accountability is a threat to public health. The fact that he appears to be uninfected is no longer the issue. The only narrative at threat here, would have been if exceptions were made for him.

@UNIVERSAL-UR The court rules are decided by politiicians. If that same power enables those accountable politicians to override those rulings, then so be it, although I definitely see this as dangerous territory. Allowing people to decide for THEMSELVES whether or not they wish to ignore the quarantine rules that have very effectively kept millions of people largely safe is a massive breech of public health. Djokovic gambled using the Australian people's lives to bet with. This time he won, and the Aussies got nothing. He should be exiled for life.

@AlanWattResistance The vaccine NEVER claimed to provide 100% protection. I KNOW YOU KNOW THIS because I personally have remnded you on at least a few occasions. At this stage, I can only assume that it is wilful ignorance, or outright disingenuity. The idea that a vaccine which would have what, a few years of emotional effectiveness, is being used GLOBALLY as a panacea for people's concerns over the changing world simply holds no water. It amuses me that you disbelieve the vaccine "narrative" as being implausible, yet you have no trouble believing that the governments of the entire planet managed to cooperate enough to conspire in this short-term plan to give the impression of stability EVEN AS America is on the verge of civil war, Russia and Europe are rattling the sabres on the borders of Ukraine, China is threatening Taiwan, the planet is having the worst climate decade in recorded history, and Britain has virtually self destructed. And all without a single person in a single country revealing the truth? But you think a vaccine is going to reassure us that everything is okay? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The irony is, like some well drone worker ant, you proclaim that individualism is unsustainable, whilst demanding that very individualistic right to defy the vaccination that would protect the colony. You appear to be somewhat inconsistent in your position. The sad thing is, I bet you and I would have a lot in common regarding a general distaste regarding big government.
