Hmm, attention seeking, pasty white kids joining 30th generation natives in doing a Maori war dance that has now been packaged as a consumer spectacle. Call me cynical but I'm not seeing the connection or how that'll help.

@marcusty6957 Honestly, I've never reeally cared all that much for the "honoring our culture" mindset. I accept your suggestion that the white kids may have Maori blood. They also have African blood if you go back far enough, and that's no more their culture than the Maori culture that they are 20 generations removed from. It all just seems performative to me. You talk about your culture. What does it mean to you Marcus? How do you embrace or honor it?
