  1. Isn't this as logical as saying "I just feel that a god exists." "European" is a social construct. None of the logical definitions are "Is a member of the EU."

  2. No, there's more to it than that. It could mean that you FEEL like you are part of the cosmopolitan European culture. It could mean that you are part of the POLITICAL power that is Europe, or the economic power. Or as you say, it could simply mean that you are FROM Europe.

  4. Yes, but not SOLELY an economic decision. Personally, my autonomy and British culture are worth more than the supposed economic benefits of being in the EU.

  6. No unknowns? Are you kidding? So what about the plans to create a european super state with a single army? When> How big? What if Europe wants to go to war and a member state doesn't? What about the financial future for Europe given that we are the slowest recovering economy in the world? I think that you are being wilfully blind if you think that there are no unknowns about staying in Europe.
