  1. The irony is, businesses moved to Brick Lane when it was a slum, and took a chance on the area. THEY revived it, and because they were successful, the local council now charges them quadruple rates. Surely they should have been given a DISCOUNT for reviving it?!

  4.  @Espri-ib2uf  It's all relative. There are entire estates up north,. filled with boarded empty, crumbling, grafitti covered houses. They look pretty slum like to me.
