@captaingalaxy9167 The selling of favours and relics is a con as old as Catholicism. Catholicism is one giant money-making extortion racket. As for this being the crown of thorns - ha ha ha ha ha. Just one more con in a religion as trustworthy as a priest around a 12 year old choir boy.

@captaingalaxy9167 It represents one of the greatest cons in the history of this planet, and should have no greater significance that a quidditch broom or a gun claimed as the actual 45 magnum weilded by Dirty Harry. You take from it what you like, but don't expect any sane person to believe nonsense about dying for your sins.

@TheLewisLegend Jeff Bezos made it by selling people things they wanted. The Catholic church made it by running an extortion racket and it should the sole entity paying for the rebuilding of Notre Dame.

@user-ek4yd7hx9l Catholicism is rotten to its core. There may only be a small percentage of priests actually abusing children, but everyone, right up to Ratzinger tried to cover it up. Any religion that requests people to adopt abstinence is fundamentally flawed. "You can't deny that the christian and Catholic doctrines and values are the most peaceful and full of love you can find in the 3 big religions." What a low bar that is. And I don't even know that I accept that. The Bible is FULL of murder and violence, much perpetrated by, or on the command of God. What about stoning people who abuse the sabbath? What about killing people who wear mixed fibres? What about killing your disobedient child? If you think that the Bible is a doctrine of love, you are delusional.
