  2.  @cookies3577  MOre prisons is a complete admission of failure by a society that should have done better sooner. More police - after this, that sounds like the last thing we need, but let's say that IS the solution, are you willing to pay another 5% on your taxes to fund them? Harsher punishments - I don't think harshness is exactly the problem. We need to get the bleeding heart social workers out of the equation. Friend of mine is a police inspector and he tells me of violent criminals that have been released without prison after more than 100 serious offences. Sickening.
