It's high time the west closed all relations with China.

@ruud195 It wouldn't be poverty if we broke off with China. For a while, we'd lose access to the mass produce crap that China sells us, then other manufacturers with appalling labour laws like India would eagerly fill the void. The vast majority of people make no money from the European businesses the operate in China.

@koonchaufung7232 "We" are the western world whose economies are being covertly assaulted by China, whose health is being attacked by its viruses, and whose computers are being hacked by it. If the first world put an economic ring around China for half a century, it would be in the best interests of our citizens.

@ruud195 Our products are only cheap because we exploit the poor. If they were made in our own country, we'd start demanding that they were not cheap shit, and that they lasted longer than 10 minutes out of the box. A win for everybody.

@ruud195 "west is to expensive to make some production here. "west is to expensive to make some production here." the west is expensive because we have worker protection, employment law, and other things. Our governments should NEVER have allowed import of goods or export of services to any nation that doesn't have the same.

@ruud195 I always vote against capitalism, but there's only so much one person can do.

@ruud195 If you consider exploitative capitalism to be the primary measure of power, then sure the west has surrendered it, in return for cheap shit. I'd say the west has other strengths - liberty for a start.

@ruud195 And I've already explained WHY China is cheaper. And I haven't even started talking about their abuse of patent law, their abuse of reciprocal postage rates, their oppressive trade laws, and their use of slave labour. But go on, keep sticking your head in the sand and acting as China's waterboy.

@ruud195 China is famous for abusing international patents. If you try to hire a patent lawyer, they'll tell you it's not worth bothering trying to protect your patents in China or Russia. But I'm sure you're an expert having studied interntional patents huh?
1
@ruud195 Stop pretending that you know ANYTHING about this subject. As someone who has dealt with international patents - I do. The irony is, as a Dutch person, your country is getting screwed over by China as much as mine. Now run along son - you have NOTHING worth listening to. You're dismissed.
