  3. That farmer was one of the most pleasant, happy people I've seen in a long time. That nut cracking machine was truly a remarkable piec of engineering, but it blows my mind to go to all that effort and machinery and time cost for $20 a bag. That market has clearly been ruined by industrial operations.

  4. Wouldn't surprise me if the pecan shells were not opening properly due to climate change. An increase in humidity could make them more elastic and less willing to open.
