  5. I despise the way that companies are able to lobby against their competitors. This is a bad enough example, but when the fossil fuel industries manage to get solar and electric cars made financially unviable it's a fucking disgrace that harms the whole planet.

  6. The Royal family are an anachronism is the modern world and should be abolished. She can polish the turd as much as she likes but she still represents hereditary privilege and power, the class system, and one rule for the rich and another for the rest of us. I'd get rid of the lot of them in an instant if I was given the vote. People might think "Oh how quaint and historic" as long as the powers are not being abused, (and I would remind everyone that even ER asserted her powers on Australia when they failed to form a government as recently as 1975) but history has shown that there will always be someone willing to abuse them. Just look at Trump trying to find ways to pardon himself. If that can happen in what was formerly the greatest democracy on Earth, the odds against Charles or Harry not doing something stupid with the power are not all that great.

  8. This has the same feel to me as idiots who do horrible experiments on kids like depriving them of affection, or giving them awful names. I know that in a way all children are a laboratory for their parents' theories on child raising, but messing with their language development, which has repercussions beyond communication is morally dubious at best.

  11. I've had this done several times in my teens on on each occasion, the doctor never felt up near my inguinal canal. All they ever did was lightly palpated my testes then made me cough. Interesting how some procedures such as an inguinal repair or (thank goodness) circumcision, have fallen out of favour, yet others such as fixing an undescended testicle, have become priorities and are no long left to fix themselves.
