@auntiebobbolink Don't put words into my mouth. All of those things existed, but no modern politicians cared little enough about their reputations, were arrogant or tone deaf enough to simply say and do what Scump has said and done. He has literally ushered in a new era of bigotry.

@auntiebobbolink No you weren't clarifying. You were snarkily suggesting that I didn't comprehend the prior existence of racism and that Scump's racism was analagous to the low key background level of racism by the GOP for the past 50 years. Your use of the word "Really?" was intended to indicate that I must be ignorant for not recognising the facts of your assertion. As for violence serving nothing, that's demonstrably not true. America gained its independence, Europe was saved from Hitler, and blacks were saved from slavery by violence. Had Reagan been succefully assassinated, his memory may have gained sympathy, but potentially his VP would have enacted totally different policies.
