  1. Trouble is, America's debt obligations are constantly growing. Why should the whole planet according to you, be held to ransom by a few hundred people, and exposed every year by presidents who want to give money to billionaires? Sooner or later this needs to stop. The sooner the planet decouples itself from the dumpster fire of American finance, the better. Even if the debt ceiling was raised, there would have to be an eventual ceiling to it.

  2. The Dems don't get to play like they're the virtuous ones here - THEY also refused to raise the liimit under Obama, just like THEY are quite happy gerrymandering when it suits them. This is why they don't get the high ground when they need it.
