  1. Why is anyone surprised? He only said the quiet part out loud, but this this is the sort of calculation that Republicans have been making for decades by supporting the healthcare industry's predatory practices. Knowing that 100,000 people a year die because they can't afford healthcare because fair competition is not permitted is WORSE than this. Of course, from a strictly prosaic dollars perspective, the death of any social dependent increases the pool of cash available to the remainder.
