  1. Facing responsibility has NEVER been Trump's thing. He gets doctor's notes or sues his way from responsibility. It's ALWAYS someone else's fault.

  2. If his defenders believe the prosecutors have failed to make their case, why WOULD they make him take the stand? On the other hand, if they have botched the defence BUT he is innocent, it's in his interests to take the stand.
