  2. You've NEVER lived in a democracy. The scales have always been tilted to various degrees. If you were black, someone who had been in prison, or someone living in a gerrymandered district, there was no democracy. The McConnell did Citizens United, your voice counted for even less. And of course, that's ignoring the fundamentally anti-democratic concept of the electoral college.
