  2. It really is dismaying, watching from outside America, how completely one criminal with massive fascist aspirations, has co-opted one of the two parties in the former land of the free. The stupidity and bigotry of the electorate is bad enough, but to me, it highlights how craven, and how self serving US politicians are. This is the landscape that Mitch McConnell created with Citizens United, where willingness to serve donors was more important than a desire to serve the electorate. I hope he lives long enough to see everything he cares about turn to dust.
