I don't want diverse; I want honest, competent and uncorrupted. I don't care what colour, gender or shoe size the judges have.

BlueLt Hiring according to qualifications is the primary criteria. Diversity MAY help to bring different perspectives, but the law in theory, is supposed to be blind. The fact that in America, it is partisan, sexist and Christian is a national disgrace.

@dellaelliott8918 I absolutely agree, but unfortunately, there is a problem in that if you have the money, why SHOULDN'T you hire the best lawyers, and utilise every tiny part of the system to your advantage?

@bjdefilippo447 I definitely see where you're coming from, but I want the judiciary to be blind to race, gender and experience when making judgements, but diverse when creating laws. Perhaps that's naive and unreasonable of me. Certainly, judges routinely sentence blacks more harshly for the same crime, so maybe diversity would restore fairness. TBH, the entire US justice system is so desperately broken, it feels like sarcasm to include "justice" in its name.
