Because rich people don't store their money in cash. It's invested in property and investments.

@tammybrothers4593 We know Trump is a habitual liar. That's a separate issue. I don't doubt that he is poorer than he claims, but I am also certain that despite that, he owns billions in assets.

@Ketowski Yeah, we know he's a habitual liar. Regrettably, even for a politician, that's not a crime, but it should be.
2
@Ketowski Absolutely agree!

@davidgray8089 That's true David, but in balance, you are not receiving funding from criminals...

@davidthompson7817 I'd be delighted to see Trump stripped every ill-gotten property; every scammed and cheated asset. I'd like to see hm spend his last days in prison leaving nothing to his awful children, but that's not the way the universe works sadly.

@1stamendmentmedia464 "he's claimed multiple times that he has a lot in cash" We know that he's a habitual liar. But it is unquestionably true that he owns a lot of assets. Hopefully not for too much longer, but I suspect he is rapidly transferring them to people who are less criminal.

@therock8288 If he could scam Deutsche Bank for millions, how does Chub think they'll be more successful?
1
@DeborahEllia "he would be flat broke" Wouldn't that be nice? Imagine how little power he would have then.

@Ketowski "Apparently, some can always be bought." Always could, but now they're open about it because there are no consequences.

I can't believe people need this explaining. Being a billionaire does NOT mean you have billions in ready cash. You don't get rich by leaving your money sitting in bank accounts - you invest it in projects that will return way above inflation. Liquidating that money is not something that happens instantly.
