Azureus9999 I know exactly why. He's wrong because he suggests that hope in science to prolong life, is as misguided as believing in fantastical elixirs in spite of the fact that it had quadrupled our lifespan and for the first time, not only understands down to a sub-cellular level what causes death, but is genuinely on the brink of being able to switch off that process. He's wrong because he spouts stupid new age bullshit about simply coming to terms with death. He's wrong because he makes stupid book analogies that do nothing to adequately contextualise death, much less offer any meaningful succour for those of us who would rather not face it. This entire talk was basically a not too bad historical overview, disappointingly framed in the context of resigned, anti-science, hippy, tree hugging nonsense.

What utter twaddle. It missed the point in so many ways, I can't even be bothered to start.

It's not a new book, it's only the end of it.

How is that analogy anything other than a food-based repetition of his book analogy, and equally silly?

Or more likely, you'll be created and your existence will have been meaningless.
