Then Cosby was found guilty, and in Britain people had nothing financial to gain and it turned out ther BBC and others had been turning a blind eye to paedophilia all that time.

  6. Pisses me off so much everyone calling this a miracle - especially the doctor. There was no miracle. The doctors did the work. There was a cure that people spent years of hard work developing. By luck the person WITH that cure, was close by and he delivered it and then the doctors did what they spent decades training for. No miracle, no god - just lots of consequences of hard work. Or did God want the kid at the end to die?

This is what happens when aged Christians get control over people's lives. This case needs to be dismissed, the charges wiped, the kid compensated, the girl charged.and the judge fired IMMEDIATELY.

I don't think a piece trying to engender our sympathy is appropriate but by far the greatest problem is the fact that Americans were willing to elect that buffoon president, not that Bush was an ingratiating moron.

  17. How the FUCK will having less people in the insurance pool and reducing the insurance so that only the sickest people buy it make it more affordable for anyone? Obamacare was deeply flawed, not least because you can't combine socialist healthcare with the vampiric pharma and medical industries. If Obama was really the hero he's made out to be, he'd have had the balls to open pharma purchasing to competition and stamped his foot down of medical price gouging.

I found it very telling that he kept referring to his crimes in the third person "her throat was cut" rather than "I cut her throat" I wonder if that was because he feels guilt, or because if he is uncomfortable because he knows how the public will view him? I don't think he's devoid of emotion, but like he said, all he feels is hate and contempt. He should be executed for the benefit of society.

That being said, he's learned a painful but valuable lesson,and so long as he learns it, he should be permitted to put it behind him without becoming a victim of the Internet community - by far the most cowardly collection of bullies on the planet.

  21. I suspect that you are picking up on the coping strategies that such people have adopted in order to deal with being in a position of making life and death decisions. Use them long enough, and it becomes who you are. So in a sense, I think you're right - they HAVE become utterly dispassionate about life and death.
