This was appalling criminal negligence to take a group of children out in such challenging country when bad weather was forecast.

@sudonum3108 Yes, he talked about that in this video. Seems like an insane justification - like removing lifebelts from a pier because they might tempt people to swim.

@volvo09 Yes, I can understand a difference in weather at different elevations. I was surprised that the weather could catch them by surprise is all. After all, they predict the weather on Everest, and that's high.

@beatbasher Wow really? That makes it all the more unforgivable that these people took inexperienced children to such a place when the weather forecast was already bad, and even worse that the pursuit centre allowed it. They should all have been up on manslaughter charges.

How on earth can the forecast change from clear to extreme that quickly?

@jfangm Yeah, my thought exactly. How these people thought that REMOVING the existing shelters was improving matters, I can't fathom.

@j_gibbon Oh yes, I completely believe you. I just find it inconceivable that weather that takes hours to form can catch people totally by surprise. But from what you're saying this is fog rather than clouds that caught you out?
