"If I place an arbitrary time limit on the possibility for an event, based upon the only instantiation of that thing that I have seen, then it fits my arbitrary theory." Talk about working backwards from your theory to make the events fit the theory! This is EXACTLY the kind of theory that gives birth to the saying, "There are lies, damned lies, and there are statistics."
