  1. Sounds like he wants to sue everyone remotely connected to this killer or alcohol. I get his pain, but this is an utterly frivolous series of lawsuits. Bars cannot predict that a single stupid customer will recklessly drive drunk. They are not the chaperones for everyone who walks through their doors.

  2. Tracking down my biological father was both a good thing and a bad thing. Finding him, I realised what a bullet I had dodged by not having him in my life, and it also finally eased that itch. I'd sooner my mother had simply told me he had died when he was a baby, rather than living with the fantasy of him ever giving the slightest shit about me. Part of me thinks it's massively selfish to contact the child you abandoned. In giving your child up, you give away the right to ever be a part of their life. That's YOUR burden to carry.

  3. One of my 9 year old karate students once proudly present me a small "pillow" he'd made. It was the most horrific piece of work ever, with giant stitches, bits of bizarre fluff and feathers hanging off and out of it. It looked like something a magpie might make. But I tell you what, I loved what it represented, and I kept it on my shelf for years until it fell apart, and it still makes me smile thinking about it. Thank you Nick!
