  1. Carswell used exactly the same sound-bites as selfish pricks libertarians the world over. "Do you want elites deciding how to spend your money". Note the use of the word "elite" to frame reasonable taxation and sensible use of those taxes as the actions of some kind of group lording over us. Meanwhile, his real agenda is simply to put more money in HIS pocket whilst giving the finger to the less well off.
