  1. Fascinating. I agree 100%, it's exceedingly likely that lefties were forced to fight right handed or else occupuied other fighting tasks within an army. Even ignoring the valid point you make about holes in the shield wall, the arc of a leftie's swing would circle in the opposite direction. Even if that arc is small, the last thing you need is two arcs clashing against each other.
