  1. Land  of the free? This has GOT to be  an illegal imposition on the liberty of free people? That said, I'm all for holding parents somewhat responsible for the behaviour of their kids. If not them, then who?

TheRhinehart86 I don't doubt that there is a nature component in the behaviour of kids, but I bet if we looked at the events in your heroine addict sibling's life, we'd find some causative incidents that lead him/her to it. Being a heroine addict doesn't make that person innately bad. Perhaps that sibling has an addictive personality? Perhaps s/he reacts to pressure worse than the rest of you, or is more easily lead, or simply encountered a chain of events that almost inevitably lead to that addiction. I'm a massive believer of determinism. NONE of us consciously chooses to be who we are.
