In a world where the message is as important as the actions one takes, it's perfectly logical that the leader of the country would want to discuss the importance of the messaging with those who deliver and analyse it. When your enemy uses the skills of Hollywood movie production, it's vital that the message is released correctly. Childish whinges about freedom of speech, when that freedom can cost 10s of thousands of lives, are as facile and hollow as whining that your spies should all have freedom of speech.
